Where To Eat

We are foodies, there is no denial. We have a steadfast rule when we travel – avoid chain restaurants and places we can eat at home. Be adventurous, try new food and eat at different places. PCB and the surrounding area has many great places to dine. Whether you prefer casual or fancy establishments, there is something for everyone at any price point, diet and food categories. Below are some of our favorites, but know that every time we visit, we try something new and feel like it has to also be added to the list.

Best Start of the Day – Breakfasts – Liza’s KitchenThe Egg & I,  Fatty Pattys,  Andy’s Flour Power

Lunch Craves – Liza’s Kitchen,  Wicked Wheel,  Shane’s Rib Shack,  The Chicken Salad Chick, Gulf Coast Burgers

Favorite fancy place (casual fine dining) – Firefly, Triple J’s Steakhouse,  Salt Water Grill

Casual Dining – Sister’s of the Sea,  Montego Bay offers discounts to Majestic owners and guests – show your card, wristband or parking pass coupon, they also have great drink specials, Dat Cajun Place has breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with music on the weekends.

Fast Food (I know these are chains) – Applebee’s,  Culver’s, Wayback Burgers

Cook at home! We’ve supplied our condo with great tools to prepare your favorite meals at home. Skip the wait, high prices and crowds. We find great deals on food at Wal-Mart, Publix and Buddy Gandy (fresh seafood). After making a great meal, we enjoy eating on the balcony and watching all that the coast has to offer.

When you visit Florida, be sure to try each region’s famous key lime pie. There are many different styles and our favorite is from the Florida Key Lime Pie company, although we haven’t found it in PCB. The nearest version is from the bakery at Publix. Yes, you heard it right. We visit the bakery for pies during our trip, then grab a few more and freeze them to share with family and friends when we get home. They freeze wonderfully.

Check back here every trip, as the dining list will surely grow. You might also enjoy seeing other dining options here, where you can sort by area, meal and food category.
